My father was a civil engineer, and he talked with me a lot about the World Trade Center when I was young.  On a trip to new York in October of 1977, we visited there and I got to stand up on top in the observation area.  I remember being amazed then at how tall the buildings were.  I don’t think I’ll ever stop being amazed and horrified that people would intentionally fly planes into them.
