Counseling & Psychotherapy Fees
50 minute session (office, telephone or online) – $120
Extended sessions are available at the same hourly rate as 50 minute sessions, prorated ($180 for 80 min, $240 for 110 min)
Intensive therapy – If you are in a crisis situation and believe that you need something more than once a week sessions, contact me. I do offer more intensive services and I’m happy to work with you to design a custom plan for your specific situation.
I accept cash, checks and credit cards for payment. I am not currently offering a sliding scale or payment plans.
Consultations
If you think therapy might be for you but aren’t quite sure, I’m happy to set up a confidential consultation with you via telephone. This is a 20 minute call with me which will give you a chance to ask any questions that you have and let me know about why you are seeking help. I’ll also discuss how I would approach working with you and helping with the specifics of your situation.

Insurance
I do not take or bill insurance at this time. However, if you have a PPO, my services may be partially covered, and I can provide you with a monthly statement of services which you can submit for reimbursement. Be sure to check with your insurance company about mental health coverage for ‘out of network’ providers. In addition, if you have an HSA with an associated payment card that has a Visa or MasterCard logo, you may be able to use that account to pay for our sessions.
Using your insurance to pay for therapy has benefits and risks. While it can certainly lower the cost of services, it typically will require me to assign a mental health diagnosis to you. This is something that will become a part of your medical record, and can impact your ability to obtain health and life insurance in the future, among other things. Another note: many insurance plans state that they cover couples counseling, but often they do this by requiring a diagnosis to be assigned to one member of the couple.
